The work of the Lord had just begun, he then moved to Akron, Ohio to work up under his uncle, Suffragan Bishop David Parker. There, he worked faithfully at the Zion Apostolic Faith Church as a young minister, member of the choir, Day Care bus driver and as youth president.
On January 21, 1978, Minister Leon Parker after marrying Sister Charlotte M. Green of Akron, Ohio they were called by God to join the building of the ministry in Dallas, Texas where his mother was carrying on the work of her late husband.
